Out of the Western mind. Back to the body.
Home to the infinite wisdom of the soul.
The Bumblebee Frequency
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.”
The Bumblebee Paradox
According to Western logic, the bumblebee shouldn't fly. Yet it does.
The bumblebee stands as living proof that the limits we live by are constructed in our minds, not in our nature.
This space is an invitation to step beyond Western thinking and journey home to the timeless wisdom of the East—dropping out of the noise and returning to the quiet, infinite intelligence you were born with.
This isn't about fixing yourself. It’s about putting down what was never yours to carry.
Sleeping deeply again. Feeling your shoulders drop. Breathing without holding back.
If you are ready to come on this journey...
Welcome to The Bumblebee Frequency.

What is Trauma
Rethinking trauma with ancient Eastern understanding.
Where it Began
Three years ago, my mother was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer, and a profound stillness washed over me as my world tilted on its axis.
In that exact moment, it was as though two distinct versions of me suddenly split apart. One was the devoted daughter, knowing her role as my mother in this lifetime was coming to a close—determined to cherish every single moment with her, fully present and committed to caring for her until the very end. The other was my Higher Self—explicitly invited to step in and bear witness, to record conversations, to write voraciously, and to anchor in presence rather than drowning in grief.
As I surrendered to the process instead of fighting it, something shifted. I began to see how deeply Western culture resists mortality—how much force and friction we apply to the inevitable. My surrender stood in stark contrast to everything around me, yet the more I let go, the more my intuition rose to guide me.
Bali, the Voice, and Total Surrender
Following her passing, our family travelled to Bali to find a space where we could simply breathe and reconnect. The island seemed to envelop us in its loving arms. I noticed immediately that the Balinese possessed a deep connection to themselves, each other and the world around them.
I booked a session with a healer named Edwin Tan, recommended by a close friend. Wanting to capture every moment for my book, I pressed record on my phone. During that session, something extraordinary happened: an intense, surging tingling accompanied by a powerful pressure encircled my crown chakra. It felt as though my physical body was plugging back in after a long slumber.
The true turning point came back home in New Zealand when I listened to the audio playback. Right there in the recording, woven into the sentence, my mother’s voice physically manifested. It was a single word—“so”—in the phrase
“so enjoy your life.”
Hearing her literal frequency on that recording was the exact moment I completely surrendered, and I have been on the journey into a deeper state of surrender ever since.
Through walking her so closely to the threshold of life and death, something fundamental in me unlocked. I walked her to the end of her life, and in doing so, I realised I no longer feared death. The only thing I feared was not living fully.
It was from this place that I wrote the dedication to a book that did not yet have a title:
"To my beautiful mother, who gave birth to me twice."
She brought me into this world, and in letting her go, she brought me home to myself.
The true name for this path was waiting for her to step beyond her physical body.
The Sign of the Bumblebee
Shortly after hearing her voice, in the depths of a freezing Wanaka winter—a time and place where bumblebees simply do not exist—I stood by the lake, longing for a sign that she was truly with me.
Defying nature, a single bumblebee rose from the icy water and hovered right beneath my nose. A quiet recognition rippled through me: I had guided her closely through her passing, and now, in a way I couldn't explain, she was leading me.
Her presence, I realised, had always been carried by this extraordinary creature. Even the memory of being stung as a little girl—staring down at my toe as that giant, furry bee clung to me—now feels like an early blueprint. A physical marker of a bond that was always meant to transcend time.
Since that day on the lake, she has woven herself effortlessly into my world. Looking closely at an old photograph of the flowers from her casket years later, I saw it for the first time: a fuzzy little creature nestled deep in the petals, waiting all this time for me to truly see. The bumblebee became the ultimate bridge to her memory, the anchor for her frequency, and the holy sign that called me home to myself.
The journey
In the end, the bumblebee became the perfect mirror for my journey—and perhaps for yours, too.
Science tells us the bumblebee shouldn't fly, yet it rises anyway. We hold that same quiet power inside us. The moment we surrender—moving past the noise of the rational mind and dropping into our intuitive nature—we align with The Bumblebee Frequency.
This is where we reconnect with ourselves and the natural world around us. We open to the signs, tune into the synchronicities, and allow life to flow through us. It is in this exact frequency that magic lives and manifestation unfolds naturally.
Welcome home.
